Aeroflot to start operating Moscow-Yerevan flights twice a week
From August 27 this year, Aeroflot will start operating Moscow-Yerevan flights twice a week, every Thursday and Saturday, Zvartnots International Airport informs.
Tickets for the flights operated on Thursdays and Saturdays from Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport can be purchased only by those citizens who will continue their flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Los Angeles, Shanghai and European counties.
When traveling from Sheremetyevo Airport to transit country, passengers must have a PCR certificate (English or Russian version) issued less than 72 hours before departure. The passenger should also study the rules of entry into the country of departure and have all the necessary documents with him/her․
From now on, if a person entering the territory of the Republic of Armenia doesn’t have symptoms of the coronavirus and is not going to be hospitalized, he/she may choose either self-isolation for 14 days or taking a PCR test during self-isolation and, if the test results are negative, he/she may interrupt the self-isolation.
Armenia economic activity shrank 10.2% in July

PanARMENIAN.Net – Economic activity in Armenia shrank by 10.2% in July year-on-year, data from the National Statistical Service reveals.
Economic activity in the country has contracted as a result of a lockdown imposed in mid-March in a bid to curb the Covid-19 outbreak. Though the state of emergency has been extended several times, most restrictions have been removed.
In July 2020, construction and trade declined by 19.5% and 10.4%, respectively, while the industrial sector contracted by 2.3%.
Foreign trade turnover decreased by 14.3% year-on-year, exports and imports were down by 5.9% and 18.6%, respectively.
Average salary, meanwhile, grew by 2.5% in the reporting period.

Trout sorting device is launched on shores of Armenia's Lake Sevan
YEREVAN. – Deputy ministers of economy Tigran Gabrielyan and Arman Khojoyan visited a fish farm that was established within the framework of the Lake Sevan trout source restoration and fish farming development program in Gegharkunik Province of Armenia.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted on the spot with the breeding, preservation, and reproduction of the several subspecies of trout endemic to Lake Sevan, the Ministry of Economy informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Also, the automatic fish sorting device—which makes it possible to sort fish by weight and transfer between nets—was launched in the coastal area of Lake Sevan—and in the presence of the deputy ministers.
During their visit, the Armenian officials also referred to the agricultural programs being implemented and the measures being carried out within the framework of state assistance, and the existing problems fish breeding as well as the perspective programs for the development of the fish farm were discussed.
